No Fault Divorce – Separations surge by 50%

A couple can file for a no-fault divorce if they have been married for at least 12 months, under the former law it would require a couple to be separated for a period of two years before getting a divorce without blame. Another significant change is that it is no longer possible for one partner to contest an application, they can only do so on the basis of jurisdiction.
